Exceeding Our Goals
In 2012, Team Tri for Hospice set a goal to raise $15,000 for Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro; and thanks to our generous sponsors, friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers and community members we were able to raise just over $34,000!!!!! Last year our team of four triathletes - Dina Arceo, Phil Beane, Karen Buxton and Becky Sage - from the Triad region of North Carolina, targeted the USA Ironman Championships in New York City on August 11th, 2012 as our culminating event. but in preparation we attended several other races, both local and national (see event details below).

- 9-30 - Ridgewood Try a Tri for Hospice Adult Super Sprint & Greensboro Youth 7.03 Championship Race
Proceeds went to Hospice and Palliative Care Kids Path Program
- 8-11 - Ironman USA Championship, NYC - Phil, Karen, Dina and Becky
- 7-21 - 2 Mile Open Swim, Lake Jordan - Becky, Phil, Dina, and Karen
- 7-20 - Tri for Hospice “Peak Party” 6:00 PM to 10:00 at Natty Greene’s Pub and Brewing Company, 345 South Elm St.- beer, light hors devours and silent auction to benefit HPCG.
